STATE EX-CADETS NCC ASSOCATION- GOA (SENA) is a non-political, non-religious organization formed in 1999 and which was later registered under Societies Registration Act, Goa. The decision to form the Association was taken by a group of Ex NCC cadets of Goa who gained professional training from NCC which comes under Indian Defence. We formed this association to work towards the betterment of Ex NCC cadets and to serve as a forum of friendship and exchange of ideas and information.

SENA organises lot of other activities to guide our youngsters to be in the right path of their lives and give better guidance to their career. The eligibility for joining SENA is an active participation of minimum one year in NCC Senior Division/Wing and has a heart to do the best to build a better society.

The association is driven by its own by-laws and articles of incorporation. The Executive committee takes various decisions regarding the activities of the association. We always welcome new members and look to expand our programs to affect as many as we can in a positive way.

The activities that are taken up by the association are Blood donations, elocutions competitions for ex- NCC cadets, mock interviews, SSB coaching for probable candidates for commissioned officers. Career guidance in the armed forces, best NCC cadets competition, achievers awards to Ex-NCC achievers.

K.D. SINGH PRESENTS ALL GOA BEST NCC CADETS AWARDS

Inspector General of Police Shri K. D. Singh was the Chief Guest at the awards distribution function of the All Goa Best Cadet’s competition organized by the Ex-NCC Cadets Association-Goa at SAG conference hall at Campal on March 29, 2009. Brigadier Ian D’Costa, VSM was the Guest of Honour. The winners were presented with the Antonio Memorial and R. S. Kaloke and V. S. Kaloke memorial trophies. Apart from this the runners-up trophies and certificates were also presented. President of the Association, Shri John Aguiar earlier welcomed the gathering, Project Manager Ms. Debora Menezes compared, Vice President Shri Naveen Acharya and Member Ms. Sadika Buddashet introduced the guests. Shri Vijay Saxena proposed a vote of thanks. Members Shri Pralhad Mayekar, Ms. Natasha Fereira, Shri Kalpesh Naik, Ms. Prachi Sawant were also present.
Earlier the Inspector General of Police presented awards to Cadet Senior Under Officer Nicolette Fonseca of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa for first place in the Senior Wing (Girls) category, Sergeant Ishan Usapkar of the St. Xavier’s College for first place in the Senior Division (Boys) category, In Junior Division(Boys) category Sergeant Naseef Shaikh of Loyola High School, Margao for first place while in the Junior wing Girls category Cadet. Bhargavi Kelekar of Shantadurga High School Bicholim for first place. The runners-up trophies were presented to Cadet Senior Under Officer Mevis Henriques of Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao who bagged the runner-up place in the Girls senior division category, Senior Cadet Captain Karamjit Singh of MES College, Zuarinagar who was adjudged as the runners up in the Senior Division Boys category. In Junior Division (Boys) category Lance Corporal Colin V. Braganza of St. Brittos High School who bagged the runners-up place while in the Junior Wing (Girls) Category Cadet. Ali Misbah Siraj of G. S. Amonkar Vidhya Mandir Mapusa who bagged the runners-up place. The cadets were judged through Group discussion, drill, turn out and interview assessing the qualities like Leadership, Initiative, confidence, Alertness, Smartness, General knowledge, expression, Critical appreciation , Cohesion, Social Adaptability.
