35th DG NCC
Lt Gen Virendra Vats YSM SM VSM has assumed charge as the 35th Director General of the National Cadet Corps. Commissioned into the 19 KUMAON Regiment of the Indian Army on 17 Dec 1988, the General Officer is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Army War College, Mhow, and the National Defence College, New Delhi. He took over the charge of DG NCC from Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, PVSM AVSM VSM.

EX-NCC Meet Chief Minister
The newly elected President of State Ex-Cadets NCC Association (SENA) Shri Pradip Sawant met the Chief Minister Shri Digambar Kamat during the Flag day function on December 7, 2011 at Raj Bhavan along with his team and sought his blessings. Director General of Police Dr. Aditya Arya was also present. Other members who were present are Shri John Aguiar, Dr. Dinar Singhbal, Shri pandurang Hegde, Shri Pralhad Mayekar, Shri Rupesh Parvatkar and Mrs. Netra Sawant.

As we all know, tragedy occurs every other day and we hear about blood shortages. We cannot let people die short of blood. Our blood can give life to someone, someday.
