RICH TRIBUTES PAID TO KARGIL MARTYRS


          Rich tributes were paid to the soldiers and the officers of  Indian Army who laid down their lives in the Kargil  war at a simple function   organized   by the State Ex Cadets NCC Association to observe Kargil “Vijay Diwas” at Azad Maidan in Panjim on July 26, 2012.

 

The cadets and  people from all lighted candles and paid their respects to the brave jawans.  Col. S. Ramanujam (Retd.) an Infantry Officer  was present on the occasion.  He recalled how the Armed Forces, undaunted by the adverse terrain and extreme weather conditions, rose to the occasion during ‘Operation Vijay’ to safeguard the honour and territorial integrity of the Nation.

 

President of the Association Shri Pradip Sawant, Vice President  Shri Pramod Yadav, Organising Secretaries Shri Vijay Saxena and Shri Pralhad Mayekar, Shri John Aguiar and Member Shri Vivek Pissurlekar were present.
